Stakes of L? bond of Gabon
Automatically translated into English thanks to WorldLingo
Should the 100 billion sought by Libreville launch and vivify the Community Stock Exchange D? Central Africa. After a round of its minister D? State charged with L? Does economy, of Finances, the Budget and Privatization, Paul Toungui, in central Africa, Gabon communicate now by way of press on L? bond qu? it launched and which should be enclosed this December 31, 2007.

C? is to say that the investors still have a few days to subscribe to L? bond called “Gabonese State 5,50% 2007-2013”.

More simply, Gabon seeks 100 billion frank CFA to repurchase its debts near the Club of Paris. An obligation costs 10.000 frank CFA and each one, particular, legal entity or even foreign institutional investor, can thus subscribe. Does that want to say to lend L? money in Gabon which, contrary at the rate D? interest practised in the banks for example, will refund you at the rate of 5,50%, between 2007 and 2013.

“Do the refunding of the capital, indicate the Gabonese authorities, will be annual at a rate of the payment of a sixth (1/6) per annum jusqu? with capital of the aforesaid total damping. ” In the same way, “incomes related to L? are bond exonerated from any tax for the investors in Gabon and subjected to the tax legislation on the incomes of the transferable securities in the other countries of Cemac (the economic and monetary Community of L? Central Africa). But, Gabon will not take any deduction at the source on the interests poured with the subscribers.

And according to the official statement published for L? occasion, “L? bond “Gabonese State 5,50% 2007-2013” profits from the sovereign guarantee of the Gabonese Republic for the main thing and the interests”. This public call to L? is saving launched on the money market of Cemac and L? will bond be with dimensions with the movable Stock Market of L? Central Africa (Bvmac) based with Libreville. C? is the first issue of bonds by public call to L? on the money market D saves? Central Africa which, supported the minister Paul Toungui, “offers an outlet to the reserves of liquidity to research D? does a gravitational output” and “allow L? Gabonese State of S? to register in L? spirit of reform BEAC aiming at removing the statutory advances with the national (French) Treasury”.

This operation D? scale thus aims launching the activities of the Community Stock Exchange and especially at animating them. Indeed, L? will bond of Gabon give place to many transactions insofar as the emitted obligations can make L? object of resale or repurchase. The obligations will be indeed represented by evidences of indebtedness dematerialized and freely transferable. This qu? a secondary market is called. All the investors of the under-area solicited thus have to take obligations to give a reality to the sous-régional stock exchange market.

C? is also the reason for which Gabon proceeded by bond. Debt qu? it contracts thus is more flexible to manage while at the same time that of which it wants to be demolished and who leads his economic development, is subjected to so rigorous conditions that the only possibilities of blowing lies in the rééchelonnements which do nothing but return the problems to later. If the economic situation of the country S? improves with the passing of years, L? Gabonese State can, by the stock exchange mechanisms, to easily repurchase its debt. To finish, it is possible to subscribe in the banking houses of Cemac members of the underwriting syndicate and Bgfi Bourse, intermediary out of purse elected by Gabon.
